About Us
Our company was founded by passionate cyclists and outdoor sports enthusiasts in 2009. We have been instrumental in the creation of a market for high end bicycle, outdoor sports and also in promoting cycling as a sport, leisure activity in Kerala, India.
Our company’s expertise comes from the founders' vision and passion of cycling with the professional expertise of information technology, finance, engineering, tourism, adventure sports and administration.
Our Story
Year 2015
- Verdant Outdoor Sports World Private Limited was incorporated under companies act to pursue the vision to provide quality bicycle products and merged "Velocity Ventures" operations - Distribution, Import and Retail Store Chain.
- We introduced "SZEL" brand bicycles and accessories. SZEL is a brand conceived out of passion, quality and sports.
- We were the first to introduce the following international brands in India with their quality product line.
"Hollywood" Bicycle Racks
"LAKE" Cycling Shoes
"Exustar" products- Gloves, Pedals and Accessories
Year 2014
- "CARRERA-PODIUM" Bicycle brand launched in India by Velocity Ventures.
Year 2013
- "O-Synce" GPS Cycling computer products launched in India by Velocity Ventures.
- "Velocity Ventures" started journey as sports outlet.
Year 2012
- Introduction of long distance cycling in Kerala.
- Created a cycling team and support young talent for cycling as a sport.
Year 2009
- Creation of the brand "THE BIKESTORE".
- Launch of Kochi’s (Kochi, Kerala) first fully functional modern bicycle showroom with the brand name "The Bike Store".
- Cochin Bikers Club came into existence and paved the way for development of modern cycling and related activities in Kerala.
